Yeah, but ... the Red Sox aren't a fantasy baseball team, they're a real team with real human beings, not just numbers on the back of a baseball card. With that in mind:

1. Manny costs $20 million a year
2. Manny wants out of Boston
3. Manny is, well, Manny

If Ramirez has said for years that he wants to leave, why isn't it plausable that Boston's exec's would at least explore options for him to go to another team? I can think of few worse things than being miserable at your job, no matter what it is.
